Jerome is a pretty explosive edge rusher and blitzer who has been a 2-year starter at OLB (WILL) for the Oregon Ducks. However, he is also a former safety who covers like one, and so CDS projects that he could become an impact player at the next level with these measurables: 6'2.2", 220, 4.48 forty yard dash, 405 max bench.

Jerome put up 82 tackles, 6 TFLs and 3 sacks in 2008, and has some special stuff in his game that should definitely get him some good hard looks at either WILL or SS. Oregon played a 4-3, but he could be an equally effective 3-4 guy with his special coverage skills and blitzing acumen.

Let me welcome Jerome here to CDS and kick things off with a question:

Jerome, you really came into your own as an OLB for Oregon this past fall, how would you feel if you were asked to try out now as a strong safety at the next level given the success you had as an OLB? Is that a challenge you would relish, or would you rather stay put at WILL?

Personally I would love to be back and put at any safety position. As you guys might know I was in the top 10 in the country at strong safety coming out of high school. Yes, I played OLB in Oregon which i also thought i was pretty good at as well, but going back and playing safety would be lovely. It really doesn't matter where anybody wants to put me I just want to get out there and play the game I love and help a team out.

It's good to have you here Jerome,
I'd like to know what you're doing to get ready for your pro day, and if you have any target numbers you'd like to share with us? Also, who are some of your teammates that you see a lot of potential in?

Thanks
PatriotofMaine
Hey Jerome,

Any word on when the UO pro day will be?

Also, do you have any preference as to what corner of the country you'd like to play in?
