Ozzie Newsome has announced that if they can't get a long term deal done they will use the franchise tag on linebacker Terrell Suggs for 120% of what he was paid last season under the tag.

Its a necessity for them to keep him. 3rd best rush backer other than Harrison and Ware. This guy is a threat on any passing down

Yeah he's great but I really don't think it's a neccessity. Barnes has looked real good.

What'd he have, 7 sacks this year? Is that all. I know he's improved his all around game, but I think you're looking for a bigger impact from that position.

Maybe they're just trying to dangle him to see if someone will give them a 1st.

Which brings me to my next point. If we can't get a contract done with Suggs 2 years in a row what makes you think we'll be able to get one done next year. We won't. I love T-SIZZLE but would rather see him traded now than loose him in FA next year.

So who's trading?

Aizona? Probably the only team that makes sense with that late round pick. MIami maybe but I can't see Parcells pulling the trigger on giving up 2 draft picks. Dallas? Doesn't have a first but they could trade their 2010 1st rounder....any one else?
