So, are the usual suspects covering it this year? Please tell me we didn't give up completely here.

Any weigh-in and measurements other than the 10 or so out there? This years coverage sucks EVERYWHERE!!! I blame the economy. tongue.gif

For the second year in a row CDS was denied access after three years of attending. we can only speculate why that is, especially now that they have a much larger venue and the space excuse is gone.

Apparently, they want to monopolize opinion. JMHO....
RedRaider80
Rak is going to dominate! He's going to be the high riser this year. top 7 pick.
RedRaider80
Brian Cushing is also going to be a beast. Behind Curry he is going to go number 2. Cushing has a hercules like body, and is absolutely ripped

Mark Sanchez has stated he will throw at the Combine. I think that is a wise choice. IMHO it will only increase his stock. He'll look good.

He is very loose apparently, because he was down in the media galley with a cam corder and asking questions like a reporter when Stafford was interviewing.

On a side note to the bosses at CDS. Of the 300 playeers at the combine each team can interview up to 60. what access do you have to the list of interviewed players per team and could you get those lists to us fans? Thanks!!

I know DHB said he hasn't really talked to chicago when he was at the podium. But in fact has and said it was a "simle and good interview"

I would love him as a bear but am pretty positive he is gone by then.

Sorry Yerck,

We never even got info like that when we were still credentialed for the Combine.

Even if we had the list, it doesn't mean a whole lot. Teams will probably interview a few players they're interested in and a few they're not. Everyone is playing it close to the vest and specializing in misinformation this time of year in order to get the player they really want.

smoke and mirrors. I understand, just was asking. Thanks
RichEisenIsGod
Singleterry is looking for OT,S,TE,RB,and "someone to rush the QB" which I found interesting. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would lie about what he's looking for though it is completely possible. And he definitely wants to run the ball!
bwalker
Michael Crabtree measured 6' 1 3/8 inches at the Combine. 2 inches shorter than listed by TT.
Stafford and Sanchez both mesured in at 6'2".

i saw that, DHB only 6'1 5/8 and listed at 6'3 by UMD....what's with that?

Schools usually overinflate their heights. Happens in HS and continues into college. That's why here at CDS we usually subtract an inch for guys over 6' because the 6'6" is usually 6'5".

Tight Ends are about to run their 40.
NinerFan85
Saw a bit of the drills and Jason Smith looked really good.

He's likely the top tackle now.

Apparently, Andre Smith left the combine.
bwalker
Also Crabtree is going to have to get a screw put into his foot because he has a foot fracture and will probably not run before the draft.

The story of the day, of course, is Andre Smith telling everyone in his interview that he had just begun working out, and then scooting out of town on a 6:00 AM flight on a Saturday morning this morning and not telling anyone he was leaving. Not good....

Regardless of his size and potential, if I were a GM I would have to avoid Andre Smith til at least the 20th pick!! I just don't get it. Maybe I am out of line and he will go top 15, but I just don't see that happening.

I also personally think if Bey and Maclin have monster numbers, maybe even Britt. That Crabtree will fall further than most think. The Extra Sexual Party Network guys seem to think the furthest he falls is 8. They may be right.

The post combine mocks are going to be pretty interesting.

I'm not as high on Cushing, he seems like a bit of a workout warrior but lacks the ideal instincts you look for in great LBs.
