even though i might be the only one updating this topic (meaning, then, that i'll just be talking to myself most of the time), i want to start, and hopefully keep up with, a new all-encompassing Bucs topic. FA rumors? rants about your Bucs team? hopefuls for the draft? have an outlook for the season? please leave it here, in this topic.

i will come back with my thoughts on things in a while. i should probably go and get some work done, and maybe earn a little bit of what they're paying me.....

i know i don't. one really good friend of mine that i talk football with all the time (and led me to this site) is a diehard bears fan. another good friend is a packer fan. however, the bears fan will make sure i hear about it when it comes to bad things bucs, so i'm sure he'll litter my bucs forum.

As a bears fan I love the fact that Tampa gave up nearly as much for Winslow as KC gave up for Cassel! Ooooppsss..... thats not constructive is it?

the good news is that he was treated and released, so it appears it wasn't too serious.

alright, so things have been busy, even though i posted after these signings happened. but, the bucs have signed:

derrick ward, HB
michael clayton, WR
mike nugent, K
jermaine phillips, S
jeremy stevens, TE
cortez hankton, WR

i know, old news, etc.

i like the ward signing. with releasing dunn, graham being injured last year, and caddy not being the caddy of a few years ago, ward gives us a good, young(ish) back to get into the rotation, though i'm pretty sure he's going to get the bulk of the carries.

don't know if i like the clayton and hankton signings. sure, we're thin at receiver, but clayton hasn't lived up to his potential, in my opinion, and i know absolutely nothing about hankton. if they're just bodies, ok, but i hope clayton becomes more than just that.

i like phillips coming back. stevens......meh.

love the nugent signing.

also.....WHEN IS TAMPA GOING TO GET A QB?!?!?!?!?! hell, let's get byron leftwich in for a year or two. he's better than luke freakin' mccown. i don't know if i want to reach for one in the first round of the draft. i want to see how josh johnson develops.
