JPmaxdraft
I had the chance to run some routes for him yesterday and he threw lights out. Great velocity but still throws a very catchable ball. He also seemed like a very down to earth guy and looks very athletic. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being a solid starter somewhere down the road. What are some opinions on where he'll go in the draft (2nd-3rd round?) and how he'll do?

I think when we look back on this draft 10+ years from now, people will say he's one of the top 3 QBs from this class. I'm willing to bet one of the big three won't turn out. He's got a strong and accurate arm, and seems like he's got everything going on good in his head...

I agree that at least one of those top 3 QB's won't pan out. I think Rhett has the physical tools, work ethic, and intelligence to make it. What I don't get is why some people have Nate Davis as the #4 QB

I think he's one of the most NFL ready Qbs too. Bomar that is. He is really getting underlooked right now. Someone will be getting a nice QB round 3 (STL, MIN, NYJ)? I Wouldnt be surprised to see him late 2. He's better than Beck from a few years ago and proboly Henne last year.

i remember when this cat came outta high school they were comparing him to farve and elway which at this point seem absurd but think what would have happened if he kept his hand out of the cookie jar. he kept bradford on the bench and made a couple of guys transfer. i think somebody will get a steal in the 2-3 rounds with him.

would he be the kind of QB that maybe the lions would consider in the third? i admittedly don't know much about him, but the way you guys are talking, if this is an option there, that could maybe change the way some people would look at how the lions could draft.

the guys on nfl network are starting to sing his praise a little bit.

IMO; Detroit, NYJ, Tamap and Chicago have to address the QB situation much more urgently than most teams and I see those needs being filled in the first two rounds. (i think SF needs to also, but they are pretending they have a QB on the roster)

Wether det takes Staffoer at 1, then Jets take Sanchez in th first, Tampa takes Freeman in the first and Chicago gets Bomar in the second.

Things could get mixed up if Det passes on Stafford and Sanfran takes him. Then maybe Sanchez to NYJ, Freeman to Tampa and Det and Chicago play a risky game in the second and see who gets him.

Well people blow the Bomar thing at OU out of proportion. He did nothing different than what Troy Smith did at OSU or (fill in the blank) at USC...The difference was that the OU Athletic Dept was beginning to feel the heat over the basketball issues and had to put a lock down on any ignorance...Any other time it would have been handled differently..

He didn't help himself with the other dumb things he pulled around that time, but he was a freshman phenom at a major program..

I will say the further he gets away from his father the better off he is.
