i like Vontae as the Vikes first rounder. i believe Chili would select either Ziggy Hood or Phil Loadholt (apparently they were impressed at his pro-day) over a TE, the brain trust is pretty secure with the Shiancoe/Kleinsasser TE combo... Caldwell in the third makes a ton of sense...

As for the Bears picks.

I really like the Maclin pick. If he is there they should jump all over him. Do not like the William Moore pick. Personaly I think he is the next Roy Williams and the Bears don't need that. They just brought in Josh Bullocks. I like them drafting Nate Davis, but they really need somebody at right tackle. That is probably their main target going into the draft.

Loadholt in 2 or 3?

Personally I would love them to take Loadholt in the second. They were hoping that John St. Clair would resign with them and they would put him there, but he signed with the Browns. So right now in their mini camp they have Cody Balogh out of Montana.

Really? Then Chilli is stupider than I thought...When I look at their roster, one of the first weaknesses I spot is at TE.



To me, Bullocks isn't the answer at S for anyone, let alone the Bears. I don't think that Moore is as bad as Williams in coverage and I reckon he'll turn out a better pro.

Visanthe had a very good second half of the season. Had he struggled, I'd agree with you, but as it stands Shiancoe should be the starter opening day...
We were able to sign Kleinsasser as well. Chili and Co. like both Mills and Dugan as backups... so I count 4 that will be on the roster. Would it be nice to draft another solid pass catcher from that position? Yes, but I'm not sure that's the way they'll go about it...
