Full Version: Right Tackle Problems?

Apparently the Ravens had offered Orlando Pace more money than the Bears did, however Chicago promised him he could play LT, where as Baltimore wanted to keep Jared Gaither at LT and move Pace to RT.

Not only that, but I've heard Ozzie Newsome was interested in trading up for Andre Smith (which was from a Baltimore radio station so could be pure rumor). Then factor in signing Willie Anderson mid-season last year and I'm BEGINNING to think Ozzie Newsome isn't happy with Adam Terry at RT.

From what I've seen of Terry (every Ravens game that he has every played in), I think he looks pretty good.

Not to mention Marshall Yanda played RT the season before and played very well, but could be moved to RG this season after his injury, and we have Oneil Cousins who can play tackle as well.

I don't understand where this RT urgency is coming from with Ozzie Newsome...and I sincerely hope that we do not use our first round pick on Eben Britton, who aside from Andre Smith is probably the best RT candidate in this class.

What do you guys think? Think Ozzie will use an early pick on a tackle?

Honestly, I think it is a pure bluff. They have very solid NFL caliber players on that offensive line. In my opinon, correct me if I am wrong considering I am a Bengals fan, I think you all should be more worried about getting a true Corner (I know Rolle resigned, but can he stay healthy and produce at his age) to go along with Fabian Washington. Wide Reciever should be another need for you guys in Baltimore. While, I think Derrick Mason is the most underrated wide reciever in the game, and Mark Clayton is a servicable WR, I think they need that pure dominant WR to give help to Derrick Mason and Joe Flacco.

But like I said, correct me if I am wrong.

No I'm all for bringing in a big physical wide out like Kenny Britt or Ramses Barden, even Hakeem Nicks. I think Mason has another season or two at least left in him and Clayton doesn't really need to produce that much as long as he keeps making big plays when we need him.

I would like to bring in a corner but with the amount that they paid Foxworth I think they're expecting him to be our #2, he played pretty well in Atlanta last year. Then you got Chris Carr as the nickel and Samari to fill in where need be.

Yeah I like Adam Terry and think he's playing fine. Could be a bluff but we did offer Orlando Pace alot of money to play RT so who knows...
