I love the Suh pick. I've been telling everybody that he'll be a top five pick.
yerckson3420
its so early and pointless to really get into his mock but, i could see S Eric Berry being a top ten pick and I don't see any TE going 5th.
Johanns21
yeah he should at least be a first round pick.
ramsdraft1029
Eric Berry and Taylor Mays are future all pros and should be top ten based on talent
Johanns21
Ok a little clarification. I read the article some more and he is only listing fourth year seniors. So thats why there is no Carlos Dunlap or Eric Berry.

just for fun really, you cant take any mock even remotely seriously until the order is pretty much set and juniors declare.

just interested in seeing the new class of talent coming through

I completely agree. Though even without an order set, there hasn't been a TE in the top 5 for nearly 40 years. But like you said, its mostly for fun and not even a rough draft.

Too high:
1. Ndakumong Suh (We will see, however... At this point, #2 is a bit of a reach, but I really like his potential to have a great season)
2. Trent Williams
3. Jermaine Gresham (He's one of the top talents in this draft, but he's no Vernon Davis coming out of college)
4. Adam Ulatoski
5. Jerry Hughes
6. Sam Young
7. Marshawn Gilyard
8. Micah Johnson

Too low (Of the players listed going in the 1st):
1. Terrence Cody
2. Mark Herzlich

Just my own opinions. They mean little at this point, to be perfectly honest.

The fact is that Gresham is taller, a smoother route runner and has better hands that Vernon Davis did at the same point in his development. Davis is a better athlete-i.e running, lifting, jumping, but in my opinion not as good a TE. Gresham should work on getting stronger, blocking and ball security after the catch, but he is much less raw than Davis was, IMHO. wink.gif

Whats your reasoning for Suh being the biggest reach? Other than we will see? If he would have came out this year, he would have been the first defensive tackle taken. He will be a top five pick next year. Just watch him this year. He has flurished under new head coach Bo Pelini and his brother Carl (who is the DT coach). He has developed a mean streak and was dominating this spring.

Also I don't really get the big hype for Terrence Cody. Everybody thought he would be a top five pick if he came out, but would a team want to draft somebody that high who could only play 2 downs? I watched the SEC championship game against Florida and I kept waiting for him to do something, but he never did.

There is no comparasion between Vernon Davis and Jermaine Gresham. Davis only got drafted so high because he ran the fastest 40 time in the combine history for a tightend and put up other big numbers. Gresham is a far more accomplished tightend in college and like bcdrama said, is bigger and a better fit in the NFL.
