Ok, maybe I'm just not getting it but I just don't understand why the Vikings are so dead set on adding another QB. Now I know that Tavarrius Jackson is not a NFL quarterback, but they did trade for Sage Rosenfelds. And I could be wrong, but didn't they give him a new contract. And now they are hot and heavy for Brett Farve. I can understand the Farve situation...sort of. But now I read an article that if they don't get Farve they are interested in Vick or Derek Anderson. I just don't get it.

They need more options than TJack and Rosencopter. The new contract pays him about 3M/yr... I can't see Chili having any interest in either DA or Vick. He likes his overhand QBs. He had no interest in David Carr a couple of years back b/c of his 3/4 throwing motion. DA will one hop or sail passes that Chili considers integral to his O. I haven't watched enough of DA to ascertain whether his throwing mechanics are the reason for those Cade McNown-esque passes, but my guess would be just that... Vick? "c'mon Shelly!... C'MON!"
I believe Favre would be a good option, barring his shoulder being healthy by playtime. If it didn't work out, they have two backups.

I would assume that if you traded for a quarterback, that many deem starter quality, and then give him a new contract that basically put him in a position to be their new starting QB. Now if they where to draft somebody and label them as the future and have Rosenfelts be the starter while they develop the rookie that is one thing. But to go after Farve, and then possibly Vick or Anderson. Just doesn't make sense to me. But oh well. If they get Farve, I'll look forward to him throwing interceptions to the Bears.

I'd be overly surprised if they brought either Vick or DA in...

They should give this Tarkenton kid a look... he's a bit of a scrambler, but I think he's got a shot.
