I was going thru my spam-infested email/inbox, and I noticed that I had a "Welcome/Registration" email from CDS Boards...curious, I checked out the links provided, and scanned thru the boards here. I wondered, "why don't I remember signing up for this place?"

Now I know.

I am not sure if all the other boards, team-specific or otherwise, are this dead, but this board in particular (Browns) could use some livening-up for sure! I noticed some chatter from early April about our (Cleveland) draft prospecting, but not a single entry has been made since the Draft was completed.

I considered beginning a massive overview of our draft (and our moves since), but then I became concerned that it may all be for naught. How much traffic does this board even get? I would assume that it gets a rather decent amount of attention, but there ain't much here to KEEP anyones attention/interest.

Quick questions: 1) Does this site ONLY cover draft-time news? 2) Does this site, or this board itself, get enough traffic to warrant putting a chunk of time/effort into it? 3) Is there anyone in particular assigned to keeping up with the latest Browns news/info? If not, do you need/want anyone to? Any/all other questions are along those lines, so I'll leave it at that.

Thanks, and I look forward to any input,

Hey Matt,

1. No.
2. We had 300,000 unique visitors make over half a million visits in the "hot months" of Jan-April, then traffic does fall off during May-September.
3. There is a thread in this forum that lists which teams have team leaders and which do not at present.

Thanks for checking in.

You bring up a lot of good points and frustrations that I have felt too. After the draft is over the site has really been quiet. During the season it picks up, but some teams have more attention from users than others. I know there are some Browns fans on here, but I believe they tend to stick to the Mock Drafts and not the message boards.

There are some forum leaders on here for certain teams, but the guys who signed up don't always put forth as much effort as other users.
