I disagree with Redman, I think Shockey will win the number 2 spot. He could run the Wildcat to.
Thomas Brown will be ahead of Snelling, because he will also return Kickoffs.
Chris Houston will be the surprise player cut or traded. He isn't the coaching staff's favorite player and he should be called Chris "Toasted" Houston last year.
Look for us to drop S--Harris and pick up another LB.

Are you kidding? Seriously?
Chris Redman has won us games in the NFL, DJ Shockley has done zilch. Shock is in competition for the number 3 spot at best and he probably will lose that. And running the wildcat? We have a proper quarterback now, we don't need the wildcat. If we do use it, it'll be to get Norwood into the game, not Shockley.
Chris Houston is the only CB on our roster with starting experience and you want to cut him? He's a decent, young corner with room to improve and yet you want him gone?
I do think you're right about Harris possibly going, but I'm not sure we need to pick up another LB.
Erik, this looks like a fairly good roster, though I think we're probably a man light at receiver. I also think we could well only keep 9 OL meaning that 1 of those guys would miss out. Also, don't be surprised if Rob James makes the roster. I know the staff were high on him before the injury last year.

I agree that Robert James will turn some heads this year. Everything I have read about him says he can run and is a hard hitter and good tackler. I think the coach's are going to run some 3/4 D this year, in current situations. I may be wrong about Houston, just suggest they may would trade him to stock pile picks for next year, depending on how they feel about the depth we have. Houston wasn't drafted by this coaching staff is all.
If Trey Lewis plays good are D line will be good against the run and have a great rotation.

I can see James beating out Adkins for one of the OLB spots. Many of the scouting reports I read on Adkins (I never saw him play myself) indicated that he only has one thing going for him - speed. The reports were not glowing on his instincts or other parts of his game. hell - he was never a full-time starter!
I've heard mixed reviews about Houston. Some like him, some hate him. In the few games I've seen him play, he seems decent enough. Certainly not shut-down material, but competent. I remember thinking to myself during last year's Denver game, 'The coverage isn't bad - it's the lack of a pass rush that's killing us.'
I went with a ten-man OL with the thought that that way each guy only has to learn one position (though it's my understanding that the coaching staff prefers as much versatility as possible). Also, while I'm comfortable with the starting unit, the depth scares me a bit, so the more options the better.
I went with a four-man WR corps because, quite frankly, guys like Weems and Kelly and the rest don't impress me. Also, if we ever wanted to go with a 5WR set, we could line up Norwood or Gonzalez as the 5th wideout.
I agree that the "wildcat" wouldn't save Shockley. If we want to run that, then Norwood will be under center. Shockley's got raw skills to develop and is a better athlete, but I think Wilson's the more polished QB. I was quite impressed with him in the one Crimson Tide game I watched last year.

I think our D-line on passing situations will get after the QB.
DE--Abraham, Sidbury
DT--J.Anderson, Babineaux
LB's --Nicholas, Lofton
CB--Houston, Jackson, Owens
S--Coleman, Moore
Moore is a ball hawk.
