It seems like only a couple of weeks ago that Jon Wilhite was off the practice field. The second-year fourth-round corner out of Auburn has surpassed fellow second-year corner Terrnece Wheatley, who was a second-rounder. Wilhite was impressive against the Redskins in DC last night, returning a clutch 99-yard INT return for a TD in the 3rd quarter, only the 3rd time in franchise history an INT was returned for a TD over 99+ yards. I think he will be able to lock up a starting role if he continues in the 4th game of the preseason. Maybe his lack of size will prove fatal to his starting role, butt he reminds me a bit of former Patriots All-Pro CB Asante Samuel, who was drafted, like Wilhite, in the fourth round of the 2003 draft. Let's just hope he doesn't leave the best-run franchise in football for the money like the aforementioned Samuel did.
