OK guys, here we go! Seems I have responsibility for IMDs back from RR so I'm gonna go ahead and hold one on Saturday November 14th from 1pm ET.

At this point of the year I would suggest that we all take 2 teams rather than just 1, so please sign up for 2 straight away. Rules will be posted later.

Where I type it in, and it takes me to Google, where I click to get me here...lol. No link to speak of. I used to have one where you're speaking about though. I closed it awhile back and never needed it. That one had what you're referring to, the link (in full). I just don't know how to get that back up. If all of that makes sense?

I think we should have all but a small handful of teams claimed. I also think the guy running it (CJ) has to be around and involved a lot more in the days leading up to it...

Just my two cents....but I've found from much painful experience that a really involved moderator, and all but a few teams for the "house" to have to pick for, are both key elements to a really fun IMD...

This is no slight to CJ, he's probably just been very busy as we all have, but he may have more time later on...?

Unless you're asking if this IMD got restarted, cancelled, or something in that neighborhood. Then I can say that as far as I'm aware of, this IMD is still ongoing.

I have not seen CJ on the site for quite awhile and he has not replied to my two previous PMs inquiring as to how he is doing, etc.

With regard to the IMD...Without an inspiration/involved/committed leader, these things ALWAYS fall flat and wind up being a major disappointment to those who do show up on draft day and are trying to make trades, etc.

SO...as things stand, unless CJ shows up in the next couple of days obviously reinvigorated and ready to go, we have two choices:

1> Find somebody signed up for the IMD who is willing to step up, become a moderator, and take on the responsibility for IMD coordination, or,
2> Cancel the IMD.

Sorry, but I am not going to allow an IMD to proceed without leadership, AND, I am on dialup and can not possibly coordinated the IMDs here, as you must have highspeed on "game day" to moderate these things.

CJ was on here yesterday, or maybe it was last night. Either way, he was here within the last 24 hours.

As far as what's going on with him. I have no clue.

As far as this IMD, I agree with your two choices given. Unfortunately, for all involved, I'm starting to think that the latter will happen. And though I do have highspeed internet, I do occasionally get a glitch with it. And I'm not very computer savvy, as you all may well know by now. With that all being said, I am willing to offer my help to whomever does run the IMDs, if my help is needed. I can keep track of drafted players, trades involving picks, etc, and I could probably even know a good veto when I see one, too. [lol] It's the latter of those three things that I don't want the responsibility of. I mean I get griped at enough as it is. Hence my limited posts. [lol]

If the only thing holding you back is worrying about trade vetoes and the possible negative feedback on your decision(s), I can handle those. Just PM me for any I might miss that you think I should consider for possible vetoing. We'd be proud and honored to have you as our new IMD Coordinator!

CJ has had some severe family issues, and I just pray those haven't flared up again...It bums me that he would sign on and not answer my PMs though...Must be bad news...

I'll let you know Monday, for sure, at the latest. And I realize that CJ is still the (IMD) man, so whenever he'd want to take back over then I'll totally understand. Again, I'll let you know Monday, for sure.

I also understand CJ's situation, though from afar, and my prayers are with him, and all others that may be involved as well.

To be fair to CJ, I should've said that I saw his name on here, not necessarily him. I mean it could've been a hacker, a friend of his, or even a family member as far as I know. I just wanted to clear that part up...lol.

About the IMD: I see the announcement for cancellation. That sucks, but I do understand the decision.

About the IMD (as it pertains to my helping out): I can maintain the order in the forum, keep track of trades (and picks involved), and send certain information to whomever it may be (such as vetoes, etc). I can even keep track of things during the draft, such as last minute trades (involving picks), and the names of the players that have been selected. That just leaves the veto power to whomever, and the setting up of that quick window thing for the draft (if it's being used). I'm not computer savvy enough for the fancy things [lol].

Does that help? Or is it too little, too late?

We will just use the message boards...three threads:

1> The draft day SELECTION ONLY thread which you will start yourself on draft morning.
2> The Trash talk thread, where guys can discuss the picks, etc., as the draft is underway.
3> After the draft, a summary thread where everyone posts a summary of what they did with trades and picks, and where we vote for the winner.

You should start out by PMing everyone who signed up, telling them you are taking over and that trading should commence ASAP. Any trades you think are questionable should be PMd to me, and I will work with you to determine possible vetoes.

I've went through the entire sign up thread and placed each GM's name beside their perspective team(s). It was first come, first served, I believe.

Second on the agenda:
Three GMs have but only one team assigned to them. As far as I'm concerned that's OK, for the moment. Depending upon how many available teams there are come draft day, I may have to ask that all GMs have a second team. We'll just have to see where we stand come draft day.

Third on the agenda:
There was one team mentioned twice, and that was the Rams. Mr. Knowitall was given the team on the basis that he claimed them first. Sorry, ramsdraft1029.

Fourth on the agenda:
I'd like to receive some feedback for possible available, and/or non-available dates for which to hold our first draft. Otherwise, I will have to pick a date on my own.
