Congratulations to Joique on being named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 2009 Player of the Year.

Bell finished the regular season leading the GLIAC in rushing, scoring and all-purpose yards. For that matter, he led the entire NCAA (including D I-A, D-I-AA, D-II and D-III) in the same three categories.

He rushed for 2,084 yards, the 15th-best mark in NCAA Division II history, while his 17.5 points per game average was the eighth-best mark in D-II history. His list of NCAA marks is long! For his career, Bell gained 6,728 rushing yards (sixth in D-II/8th in NCAA history), while his 152.91 rushing yards per game is 11th in D-II and 25th in All-NCAA history.

He scored 576 points which ranks fourth in D-II and fifth in NCAA history, while his 13.1 ppg is fourth in D-II and 10th in NCAA history. Bell’s 8,055 all-purpose yards is fourth in D-II and ninth in NCAA history.

Bell was also picked as the CDS 2009 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and is a candidate for the 2009 Harlon Hill Award.

I keep reading positive feedback on Joique Bell's workouts at the Senior Bowl (Sporting News' Russ Lande had a nice paragraph on Bell's performance). If he can 'keep it up' he should be moving up the boards ...
