The Central Michigan Chippewas moved to 6-0 (8-2 overall) to lead the MAC while forcing 5 turnovers from the visiting Toledo Rockets (4-6, 2-4 MAC) to win 56-28. The Chips had 49 unanswered points after trailing 14-7 early in the first quarter. QB Dan LeFevour ran for 4 TDs to set a new CMU rushing record, while completing 16 passes in a row at one point including 2 more TDs.

Dan LeFevour 13 6' 3.0" 229 4.70 QB 2010
The last time I saw LeFevour this year, he threw for four TDs and ran for two TDs - today he did it the other way. He runs very well (he was converted in HS from an RB to QB) and has good running instincts to find the endzone (he had 14 carries for 19 yards with TD runs of two yards each). I can't see him running 14 times in an NFL game, but the inherent toughness and durability he shows with his 137 carries for 567 yards and 13 TDs this season is impressive. He threw some great balls tonight, hitting Brown and Anderson for TDs - at one stretch he had 16 complete in a row (he is top in passing efficiency in the MAC.) I continue to like this player and believe he could become a real leader and a winner at the next level.
GRADE: VERY POSITIVE
Antonio Brown 27 5' 10.0" 179 4.40 WR 2011
Brown had 19 touches today and accounted for 210 yards and a TD. He continues to demonstrate great speed and all the attributes of body control, toughness, acceleration and good hands that define an NFL-caliber receiver (and Biletnikoff Award nominee). 13 catches for 129 yards were his strong-suit tonight - as a rusher, he averages 9.6 a carry on the year and had a 17 yard rush tonight; he had an explosive 36 yard KO return and was a block away from breaking it. I like him on the bubble screen, where he can accelerate in space and make defenders miss. If he declares this year, he could use about 10-12 more pounds (which will help him be a bit more effective as a run blocker).
GRADE: VERY POSITIVE
Bryan Anderson 7 6' 5.0" 213 4.55 WR 2010
Anderson had a good night - 4 catches for 67 yards and a TD early in the game. As a big, strong and experienced target, he was too much for the 3 freshman DBs that started for Toledo - he drew a pass interference call after burning the CB deep on the second play from scrimmage. He scored later in the drive after a nice catch on a slant and slipping his defender for a 33-yard TD. He runs very good routes and blocks well downfield. Definitely has the physical tools and talent to play at the next level.
GRADE: POSITIVE
Frank Zombo 98 6' 4.0" 260 4.80 DE 2010
Zombo finished the night with 4 tackles (2 solo) a QB hurry and a key fumble recovery. He continues to show speed and quickness from the edge, but I also liked his work at the LOS, making a key 3rd-down stop on Collins with the score tied at 7. He flowed down the line to close inside and get the tackle before Collins could get the first down. He did miss contain on one play, however, but got help from Bellore to limit the damage. His frame suggests he can add 20-30 pounds that will improve his durability and line play at the next level - need to see how that will affect his speed.
GRADE: POSITIVE
Collin Miller 63 6' 3.0" 291 5.00 C 2011
Miller played a very solid game - showed why he is on the Rimington Watch list. Was dominant whenever LeFevour wanted to run inside. Plays LG on the field goal/PAT unit - good footwork and hand action to get and keep contact on his target. All snaps were good and on-target.

Barry Church 8 6' 2.2" 216 4.60 S 2010
Church is my favorite Toledo prospect - a special teams star and 3-time All-MAC performer, he led the defense with 8 tackles (6 solo). Church is very physical, and plays the run well.; he is quick off the edge and puts pressure on the backfield to know where he is and be prepared to deal with him on the blitz. Adequate coverage skills, but probably his weak point, as he is used so often in run-support and blitzes. Would expect him to get invited to camp with a solid showing at the combine.
GRADE: POSITIVE
Daris Quinn 33 6' 1.0" 226 4.50 LB 2010
Back-up MLB who was second on team in tackles tonight (6 total with 2 solo) - doubt he is over 6' tall, but he is quick and moves well to the ball - made some good tackles and blitzed decently. Doubt he will be invited to camp.
GRADE: SLIGHTLY POSITIVE
DaJuane Collins 22 5' 9.7" 211 4.50 HB 2010
Collins is a versatile player who ran 14 times for 40 yards (a bit under his 5.5 ypc for the season) with 2 TDs and he caught 3 passes for 28 yards and had a KO return for 20 yards. He makes good hands catches and is a threat out of the backfield. Solid pass blocking skills. Did fumble early in the game when hit hard by Berning. Plays on special teams and gives a great effort.
GRADE: SLIGHTLY POSITIVE
Stephen Williams 88 6' 5.0" 197 4.39 WR 2010
Has 66 catches on the season and got 6 for 54 against CMU. A big targer, but needs to add some mass. He didn't seem to show 4.39 speed tonight. Gets open by running good routes and makes catches with his hands and protects the ball in traffic; showed some nice 'run after catch' skills tonight, spinning inside to avoid a tackle after the catch; a Biletnikoff Award nominee. Passed NO Saint Lance Moore for all-time yardage lead with 2,921 receiving yards. With some more muscle he will be a solid NFL wide receiver.
GRADE: POSITIVE
Jared DeWalt 68 6' 4.0" 318 5.00 OG 2010
DeWalt has the mass and foot work to be an excellent blocker at the next level. Just a tad slow, but very strong and uses good technique to control the defender. Makes and keeps contact. Opelt was not sacked tonight. A solid prospect that deserves a look at the next level.
GRADE: SLIGHTLY POSITIVE
Alex Steigerwald 85 5' 11.0" 179 4.90 K 2010:
Steigerwald is very accurate kicker and is one kick away from becoming the all-time accuracy leader of the MAC (45-54 - needs one more kick to have 55 min). Solid on kickoffs (average to the 7) but did kick one out of bounds. Was 4-4 on PATs but got no FG attempts.
GRADE: NEUTRAL
GAME NOTES:
Freshman UT WR Eric Page caught 6 for 77 yards, completed a pass for 3 yards, had 3 carries for 22 yards, and had 7 KO returns for 208 (with a 47-yarder that almost went to the house) - he bears watching ... Chippewas JR LB Nick Bellore led all defenders with 10 tackles (8 solo) with a TFL and INT (another good one to watch) ... starting UT SR QB Aaron Opelt was 14-22 for 123 yards and 1 TD with 3 INTs ... Chips soph RB Bryan Schroeder had a great game, 13 carries for 105 and 2 TDs - another one to check-out in the future.
