Brett Walker interviews Khayyam Burns

Interviewed on: Thursday, June 7th, 2007
Height: 6' 0.0"
Weight: 195 lbs
Speed: 4.54 (Unofficial)
Bench Reps: (Player Reported)

Brett Walker: What's your 40 time and bench press max?
Khayyam Burns: My 40 is 4.54 and my max is 330 on the bench.
BW: What are your responsibilities in your defense at free safety?
KB: I line up the corners and make the LB calls. If the offense checks out, I'll make another check depending upon time and the snap of the ball.
BW: Do you play special teams?
KB: Yes, I'm on the punt, kickoff, and punt return teams.
BW: Can you tell me your strengths/weaknesses as a player?
KB: Tackling and my all-around football knowledge would be my strengths. I am able to absorb things quickly with a short amount of reps. As far as a weakness, I guess, just trying not to do too much.
BW: Favorite play call?
KB: Man free on third and long. I'm just waiting to make the interception or the big hit!
BW: What's the team outlook for Arkansas State this year?
KB: Let me say this, we have the potential to do something special this year. If we don't stay focused it'll be a typical year.
BW: Hobbies?
KB: I love Play Station and music. I played the bass clarinet in high school.
