Interviewed on: Friday, June 8th, 2007 Brett Walker: What are your responsibilities and assignments in the defense? Tyrell Johnson: Our safeties are basically interchangeable. Cover and stop the run. Cover the curl route and cover long. Also play 50/50. BW: Do you play special teams? TJ: Punts, punt return, kickoffs and kickoff returns. BW: What's your goal after football? TJ: I'm getting my degree in computer information technology. BW: Tell me about your strengths. TJ: I'm a strong tackler and a ballhawk. I'll stop the run. BW: Areas you're working on? TJ: All summer long I've been working on coverage. One on one and just trying to improve all around as a football player. BW: Favorite play call? TJ: Safety blitz! We don't call it enough! BW: What's the team outlook for the upcoming year? TJ: Good! We've got lots of youth and we've filled a few spots. We can win with team unity more than individual talent. We've got team unity.
