Adam Davis interviews Christopher Johnson
Interviewed on: Saturday, February 9th, 2008 Adam Davis: Hey Chris, what are your current measurements (height, weight, 40,)? Christopher Johnson: My height is 5'11 200 pounds and last time I ran a forty it was a 4.22 at jr. pro day. AD: What training facility are you training at? CJ: I'm at Tom Shaw down in Orlando. AD: Is there anything you aren't planning on doing at the combine in Indy? CJ: No i want to compete against the guys that they claim to be better then me.
AD: Tell us about the bowl game against Boise State. How amazing was it to break the bowl rushing record? CJ: It was very nice to go in there on a national stage and do something like that.
AD: Are you planning on being a return man in the NFL as well, or just focus on being just a RB? CJ: I will do whatever it takes, but I plan on being a teams main running back. AD: What types of drills and activities did you perform to become such a complete back? CJ: I did feet work and speed work and a lot of weight room and the main one is holding on to the ball drills. AD: What would you like to show at the combine and pro days? CJ: I would like to show that I'm the best back in the draft. AD: Do you think being a good receiver and runner will hurt you being labeled a "tweener" or will it help you as being labeled "versatile"? CJ: I think it will help me right now because the guys I'm battling with don't really catch how I catch and the return ability should help me out. AD: What was your favorite memory of your college career? CJ: When I rushed for 301 yards in one game. AD: What current players do you model your game after? CJ: Brain Westbrook and Reggie Bush. AD: You've been timed pretty fast in the 40, what is the best you have ever run? CJ: I ran a 4.22. AD: What was your experience like at the Senior Bowl, and what was the biggest thing you gained from it? CJ: It was a good experience competing against the other top seniors, but it showed how much faster the tempo and the speed of the game is. AD: What do you think will be the toughest transition into the NFL? CJ: It's always the speed of the game when you're going to the next level. AD: What is your biggest strength? CJ: Speed. AD: Biggest weakness? CJ: I would have to say I've got to work on some blocking techinques. AD: What do you really like to do outside of football? CJ: I like to shop. |
