Brett Walker interviews Dwight Lowery

Interviewed on: Friday, March 21st, 2008
Height: 5' 11.1"
Weight: 194 lbs
Speed: 4.47 (Pro Day)
Bench Reps: 16 (Player Reported)

Brett Walker: Interview took place after the SJSU Pro Day. How do you think your workout went today?
Dwight Lowery: I think it went pretty well. Overall I felt good out here running. I felt I put up a pretty good time.
BW: How did you feel about your Combine performance?
DL: I don't think it went well at all. Ten days prior to the Combine I had a little hamstring issue that I had to get dealt with and I couldn't workout. Up until I got to the Combine I hadn't worked out. The Combine was the first time I'd worked out in about 10 days. So, just naturally as an athlete, you didn't feel really prepared, that you didn't get those days to prepare. I didn't feel I was at the top of my game.
BW: I didn't get your broad jump today.
DL: 10'2"
BW: Bench?
DL: I didn't bench today. At the Combine I had 16.
BW: Vertical jump?
DL: 38"
BW: Do you want to talk about what you're looking for in an NFL team. What's your perfect opportunity?
DL: Really any situation that's going to give me a fair opportunity to come in and play. I feel I'm a great football player and I'm going to be a great football player. Any team that wants to embrace a great player needs only to look no further than myself.
BW: How many picks did you get this year?
DL: I had 4. My junior year I had 9.
BW: What junior college did you go to?
DL: Cabrillo JC in Aptos, CA. It's about 10 minutes from here. I'm from Santa Cruz, CA.
