Jets Rounds 1,2,3,5,6,7
  • Round 1, Pick# 13 - Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama
  • Kris Jenkins has not been able to stay healthy or consistent throughout a full season. Even if Jenkins were to stay healthy and productive, Rex Ryan likes to move him around the line and Mount Cody would give the Jets another big body on the inside. Ryan could use Jenkins and Cody the way he used Haloti Ngata with the Ravens.
  • Round 2, Pick# 14 - Sam Young, OT, Notre Dame
  • Damien Woody will likely be a cap casualty and Sam Young can fill the eventual void at right tackle. It would suit Young better to get experience behind Woody, too. At worst case scenario, he provides depth to a line that lacks it.
  • Round 6, Pick# 13 - Jack Geiser, LS, Boston College
  • NFL franchises have been less willing to pay money for aging snappers and more willing to draft snappers. Geiser is one of the top snappers in this draft class and James Dearth falls into the category of aging snappers despite his production.
  • Round 7, Pick# 14 - Cory Jackson, RB, Maryland
  • Tony Richardson is an unrestricted free agent again and he is currently the oldest Jet. Even if Richardson is re-signed, the Jets can breed Jackson behind him in hopes that he is a capable replacement.

Rex plays the 3-4 and WILL NOT draft a DT. "Jenkins has not been able to stay healthy" - BULL. Shaun Ellis fell on him! That's why he got hurt. No CHANCE there. I agree w/Sam Young. If they wanted Geiser or any other LS, they would get him immediatley after the draft in unsigned rookie free agents. Typo with Jackson as a RB instead of a FB?
