Round 1
  1. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
  2. Tampa just bailed on Gaines Adams, which was dumb, and needs to find some talent to stop the run and collapse the pocket.
  3. Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
  4. Bradford should stay in school to prove he is fully healthy, but there isn't much competition this year to be the top QB and his potential is worth a gamble (although this is a huge gamble at 2). STL goes from one injury plagued guy to another.
  5. Eric Berry, S, Tennessee
  6. The Browns have needs everywhere, and don't be surprised if Quinn is shipped out this off-season and a QB is drafted. Berry is the best player in the draft possibly and would help their young secondary.
  7. Russell Okung, T, Oklahoma St.
  8. It is sad to see Millen not here anymore, now you have to think of a position other than WR to address. Okung is a stud blocker and would help Kevin Smith find the second level again.
  9. Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame
  10. I don't know if Clausen should go this high, but Snyder wants Campbell gone and usually looks to take a splash player.
  11. Trent Williams, T, Oklahoma
  12. KC needs O-Line help if they are ever going to have a consistant offense again. LJ looks like he is done, so look for a RB in round 2 or 3, but Williams is an immediate improvement over O'Callaghan and that is what KC needs to do, replace your worst starters and create depth on the lines.
  13. Taylor Mays, S, USC
  14. I know that three of the four DBs were pro bowlers last year, but they are playing like practice squad guys this year. Mays is an unbelievable athlete and gives TEN some fresh blood in a secondary that looks complacent.
  15. Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida
  16. Although they drafted Maybin last year, DE is still a weak spot. Kelsay has been underproductive for years, and Schobel is well past his prime. Maybin also has the size and athleticism to move to a rush OLB spot if needed. Regardless, Dunlap is a value at 8, and Buffalo's problem has been pressure for the last two years.
  17. Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama
  18. SF is a team on the rise, QB may be worth a look, but Hill has done nothing but win. He reminds me of a youger Delhomme. Cody would stop the run and open things up for Willis and co. behind him.
  19. Everson Griffin, DE, USC
  20. Griffin is not usually being mentioned this high, but he has size and ability similar to Mario Williams. He is a freak when it comes to size, speed, and strength, and it will show at the combine and other scouting events. Harvey and Groves are disapointments, Ellison (a former castoff from several teams) is starting, and Del Rio has said that the Colts can only be beaten by pressuring Peyton Manning.
  21. Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
  22. Ferguson is celebrating his 80th birthday next week, and Parcell's D does not work without a big run stuffer in the middle. If Cody fell, he would fit better, but McCoy is a great consolation prize. Don't expect MIA to draft a QB in the second round for the fourth straight year (Beck,Henne,White).
  23. Jahvid Best, RB, California
  24. Seattle's team has been irrelevant since Alexander left. Best has explosive ability, and has great hands. There hasn't been a RB step into that top spot yet in college, I am guessing Best will.
  25. Joe Harden, CB, Florida
  26. Dunta Robinson is a solid corner, but his injuries leave the Texans shorthanded. Fred Bennett, and the other CBs are all backups and nickle backs. Harden is the top CB in the draft,if he enters, and could be a lock down type player.
  27. Ciron Black, T, LSU
  28. I believe the Raiders will be drafting quite a bit higher, but I forgot they were still in the NFL until now. With Davis, who knows? I am guessing they are scouting a guy out of Janesville School for the Blind who runs a 4.3 40 and is a WR prospect.
  29. Jake Locker, QB, Washington
  30. As I mentioned earlier, Hill has done nothing but win. However, Locker is too talented to last any longer and could learn under Hill for while as the team develops.
  31. Greg Hardy, DE, Mississippi
  32. Ellis is getting old, and Douglas is more of a rotational backup. Hardy can pressure the passer, and has the size to stay in and stop the run.
  33. Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma St.
  34. A top quality athlete and WR with some off-field issues; sounds like the perfect fit for Jones. Austin had one huge game, Williams is a disapointment, and everyone else is just good for holding the bench down.
  35. Brandon Spikes, LB, Florida
  36. SD should trade up to grab one of the top DTs, and would like to get a pass-rushing OLB to replace Merriman who is likely to leave, but Spikes is a huge value this late and the MLBs in SD have been a disapointment. Spikes may have to begin his career outside, or push Burnett to the bench.
  37. Sergio Kindle, LB, Texas
  38. Okeafor, Berry, Haggins, and Hayes are all older and have not made enough plays. Kindle is athletic enough to play any LB spot, however a complement to DRC or an O-Lineman may be wise as well.
  39. Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama
  40. Baltimore collects players with the last name McClain, and he also fits thier style and need. McClain is a stud LB with more upside than Gooden, J.McClain, Barnes, and J.Johnson. He would compliment Lewis perfectly and could take over as the emotional leader when Lewis leaves.
  41. Bryan Bulaga, T/G, Iowa
  42. The interior of the line is Livings, Cook, and Bobbie Williams. Bulaga could play outside or move to G for a little bit. However, Whitworth has experience at G and Bulaga is a more athletic fit to replace him at T. Pairing him with A.Smith would give CIN some bookends for years.
  43. Trevard Lindlay, CB, Kentucky
  44. What GB really needs is some OL, but there are none left worth this pick. They have been neglecting their depth at CB, and Woodson and Harris will eventually break down.
  45. Colt McCoy, QB, Texas
  46. Seattle stikes gold by getting McCoy this late. He is a franchise QB and can wait a year while watching Hasselbeck struggle to survive another season.
  47. Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Clemson
  48. The Eagles don't have the notable LBs that we are used to seeing. Weatherspoon would be an upgrade over Akeem Jordan and Chris Gocong. And if Bradley doesn't return to form, Gaither has experience in the middle.
  49. Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU
  50. ATL could use a better threat opposite White than Jenkins. Benn would also be a good pick, but his skills are too similar to those of White. LaFell has the hands and size to fit the role of posession reciever better, which would open "Hot Roddy" up for big plays.
  51. Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma
  52. The Giants don't have many holes; which allows them to gamble on a player that has top ten ability. Boss is adequate, and Beckum has potential, so they can wait for Gresham to get healthy and aquainted with the offense.
  53. Vincent Oghobaase, DE, Duke
  54. Denver's reshuffled new D-line has done a good job so far, but they could use more guys to rotate in, and have no true difference makers on the line. O-Go has good size to hold the corner, which can help keep blockers off of the blitzing Dumervil.
  55. George Selvie, OLB/DE, South Florida
  56. Fujita and Shanle have been solid, but unspectacular. They have little depth behind them at OLB. There is also little depth behind Grant and Smith at DE. They are good players, but are expensive and have had some injury issues. There is very little depth behind them also (J.Charleston and B.McCray).
  57. Charles Brown, T, USC
  58. You must be tough to put up with a name like Charlie Brown. That is the type of guy that Pit loves. They have some issues alont their line, and a few guys whose deals are up.
  59. Jonathan Dwyer, RB, Georgia Tech
  60. Dwyer fits the system in NE perfect. He can do all the things they are currently doing with a combination of Morris, Faulk, Taylor, and Maroney. NE like versitility, so it cannot bode well that all their RBs are specialists who lack consistancy and the ability to stay healthy.
  61. Tim Tebow, QB, Florida
  62. Why not? Farve will play for another year after this year, and Tebow has the leadership skills to relpace him. With AP, he will not need to worry about his throwing much because the box is always stacked. This would be a better version of Culpepper when he was in his prime and healthy.
  63. DeMarcus Granger, DT, Oklahoma
  64. Doesn't it always seem like Indy needs DT help? Well, this year they finally address it. Granger is not as big as McCoy, who will go high, but he is quick and strong. He would be an automatic starter and is a value this late.

I know its too early to pick on things but an ILB for the Ravens, seriously? We already have JAMEEL McClain who was playing STELLAR until he got injured. Gooden and Dannell Ellerbe are holding it down on the inside. We need secondary help badly. Foxworth and Fabian ain't cuttin' it and Frank Walker and Chris Carr are worthless. Landry is struggling at SS despite a stellar rookie season. I would also hope we look at receiver. Also I think Bradford needs to declare, he is one injury away from ruining his NFL dreams, there is enough tape on him that if he performs at the combine he can still be top 10.

why DID the Bucs bail on Gaines Adams?

The new "braintrust" in TB is horrible. Why trade-up and reach for Freeman when you will have the top pick (or near) this year? Why let go of Brooks,Gaines,Dunn,Garcia, and Buchanan with nobody behind them? And I can't stand that they let of Gruden! As of right now I don't see a CB,S,or WR of value at BLT's spot, with the exception of Arrelius Benn, who is a bit of a reach right now. I agree that CB is a weakness, and I think this class is weak there. Second round guys will be just as good as those taken in the first. A young NT to replace Gregg eventually, or rotate with him to keep him fresh is something that should be addressed this year also.

we have some young NT's we're excited about and Gregg has a few years left in him for sure. how bought Trevard Lindley at 20? At this point i think its good value. it seems like TB just cleaned house for whatever reason, i mean they were getting old on D but it made no sense to me either. what do you think if you guys get pick 1? Suh, Dunlap, dark horse candidate?

If,or should I say when, TB gets the top pick, I would like them to get Suh, but Okung, Berry or Mays would be fine with me. Although I like Dunlap, I don't like taking DEs that high. There is too much bust possibility. I wish that we didn't grab Freeman last year, then we could take a QB. Hopefully we can trade down (yeah right).

I think Lindlay going to BLT would be a good choice, but I love Rolando McClain, and it just seems too right to push for the family reunion in BLT.
