I don't agree with Colt McCoy going in the first round anymore let alone the top 3 and first quarterback taken. He has not looked go this year at all.

The things that will put Colt in the first round are his accuracy, his awareness, and he wins. The Browns will take McCoy before they take another Notre Dame QB, and if Mangini is still the coach, he is going to want McCoy. McCoy is a LOT like Chad Pennington in the way he uses his smarts to make plays, how he makes little to no mistakes, and how he has tremendous accuracy. McCoy also has the ability to scramble when he needs too. Another valuable trait.

You bring up valid points, and I agree with you on his accuracy and mobility but I still don't believe that makes him the 3rd overall pick. I still think if they want him that badly they can get him in the early second round.

The best comparison is the Matthew Stafford and Mark Sanchez issues. Both QBs had some flaws, but they were both taken in the top 5 for what they HAD, and not what they did NOT have. The two QBs were taken due to needs team needs as well, and Cleveland has just as big of a need as anybody for a QB. I think it will come down to McCoy and Pike if anybody. Once Pike goes through all the workouts and the Senior Bowl, teams will be drooling. I just don't think the Browns will take a QB from Cincinnati.

Wish he was, but Colt McCoy is a late 1st rounder at best.
