2010 Team Needs:
ILB - With Jerod Mayo now cemented in and one spot, a youthful addition at the other ILB spot could help make this a very good LB corps.
CB - It really is time for New England to stop messing around with average corners and little smurfs who try hard. 34-year old free agent signee, Shawn Springs, is the big corner type they need, but he is 34, and injury prone. Leigh Bodden was a very nice pick up and could compete for a starting job.
HB - I'm not sure what it is about Laurence Maroney but something just doesn't seem right. It might be time for the Pats to draft a new featured back. Fred Taylor is a very nice free agent addition, but his time is limited.
TE - Despite signing two free agent tightends, an upgrade in terms of consistency over Ben Watson would still help this offense.
OT - The Patriots offensive line which looked so good last year appears to have done somewhat downhill since their Super Bowl defeat. Time to add some youth, methinks--especially at LOT and center.
QB - Tom Brady is not invincible and now that Matt Cassel has flown the coop the team needs a backup QB, unless they think last year's draftee is ready for that role full time.
