OverviewHighly-hyped player who has far more upside than production to hang your hat on--and that ain't where you should be hanging your hat. Former all-state basketball and volleyball player who did not play football in high school, and that is the major cause of some of the hype that is out there. Played well at the Hula Bowl until suffering an injury in that game.
StrengthsVery quick and agile for a DE. Fires off the ball low and hard, and sidesteps bigger and stronger OTs. Closes to the QB pretty well. Good lateral quickness, and decent straight-line speed as well. Technique is pretty good for a guy who is so new to the sport. Good kid who will work.
WeaknessesNot polished. Not big or nasty enough to be an immediate factor at the next level. Must get bigger and be coached up. Has a lot of tools to work with, but is NOT (as some are suggesting) a better DE prospect than fellow Warrior's DE, Melila Purcell, despite the perceived upside.
ProjectionCould go anywhere from late Round Two to the 7th round. So hard to project because he has done it for just one year. The Hula Bolw injury will have to heal quickly and be a non-factor for him to go before Round 4.
