OverviewFirst-team all Northeast Conference (DII) pick three years in a row, and the conference offensive linemen of the year two years running. This Waltham (MA) HS product could have played for alomst any IA school.
StrengthsGood size. Nasty streak. Gets to the defender quickly on running plays and locks on. When he does that, it's all over for DII d-linemen. Dominant at his level of play. Gives good effort. Hustles around the edge.
WeaknessesA bit heavy legged. Has not been tested at all in pass pro, and there is not a real good book on his pass pro abilities. Has a lot to learn. Needs some body and technique refinement. Finished his career with a knee injury that will have to be checked out.
ProjectionHas drawn the interest of NFL scouts, and should be a solid UDFA for someone.

Date/Time: 04/23/2008 - 1:38PM CDT Predicted Round: Round 6 Bernadeau is going to make an NFL roster, it's just a matter of which team and whether he's drafted or signed as UFDA. A player with his size and athleticism combined with leadership and intelligence is going to make a good pro. Good head on his shoulders, he knows he needs some coaching up and if he gets with a Tony Sparano, Houston Houck, Dante Scarnechia, etc... Bernadeau will be just fine. He needs a year or two to learn more of the pass blocking pro techniques. Well worth a late round flyer as is any 300 pounder with his makeup.
