Overview

Tim Tebow won the Heisman Trophy after a fantastic sophomore campaign that saw him throw 29 TDs and add another 21 rushing TDs... 2007 first-team AP All-American… Walter Camp All-American… AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year… SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll…

ESPN.com Academic All-American first-team selection… SEC Football Community Service Team Honoree… 2007 Florida High School Athletic Association’s All-Century High School Football Team… Three-time SEC Offensive Player of the Week… Two-time Walter Camp Foundation National Offensive Player of the Week… 2006 All-SEC Freshman team honoree…

Strengths

There's something about Tebow...he has a huge heart, a load of fight and tonnes of athleticism. Built like a linebacker and runs with power when his number is called in the huddle.

Weaknesses

Lacks touch and accuracy on his throws. Really doesn't have the accuracy you would want from an NFL quarterback. Checks down to the run a little early on occasions. Has had his stats inflated by Urban Meyer's system -- the same system Alex Smith played in.

Projection

Someone will take him in the first round, but I wouldn't want it to be my team.

Someone will take him in the first Rd and IMO it will payoff. I think tebow will be a good pro and shock all cridics.

Good arm but I don't think his accuracy will ever be good enough.

If he stays he can either move into 1st and prove himself as a QB, OR he can downgrade himself play poorly and not be drafted until round 4.. At first when this idea of him going pro came up i said GO BACK ONE MORE YEAR, but thinking of the consequences and some of the things that make Tebow unique, he can probably be a 2nd round pick this year. Compared to Alex Smith who Urban Meyer also coached, but even if Tebow doesnt start like Smith did, he will probably be a better rounded Pro.

Poor man's Ben Roethlisberger. Ben was much more refined than Tebow, but the similarities are pretty similar. Both have strong arms and can make deep throws all day. Both have loooooong releases, are strong QBs with mobility. Tebow is a better runner, Ben is a bit taller. The real edge for Ben is that his mechanics are much better. Tebow really struggles to use his lower body when he throws (He should be able to throw it farther than he is) and that causes some inconsistency with his release point. Tebow does seem to ooze leadership. If you're looking for a guy to run a timing offense, look elsewhere. Tebow will make some big plays for a team - after a year or two sitting on the bench - but he's also going to take a lot of sacks and miss on some easy throws. Something about him makes me think he could work out for the right team with realistic expectations.

he is decent, but i think that he is the second coming of kordell stewart, below average at everything and wont ever have a true position, but some DUMB team will pick him high because of poetential.

Will be one of the biggest busts in NFL history. Not as fast or as accurate as Alex Smith in the same offense, which is decidedly NFL-unfriendly. Terrible mechanics will need to be overhauled. If he went to New Mexico and not Florida he'd never sniff the NFL. He does improve every year, so there is hope, and he is a great leader and winner with great clutch ability
