Overview

The Trojans starting QB for one season. 16 total career starts. Has declared for the 2009 NFL Draft. Had an outstanding pro day where he showed good accuracy. Has put himself in position to be a top 10 selection.

Strengths

Has mobility and can move the pocket and has escapabilty from the pass rush. Can make all the throws required of an NFL QB and has an above average arm. Throws TDs in bunches and builds a repoir with his best WRs. Shows good touch and deep accuracy at times.

Weaknesses

Pocket awareness. Doesn't feel the rush well and needs to learn to throw it away at times. Very inconsistent and looks average and then heats up and looks stellar. Gets rattled by a consistent pass rush. Inconsistent in ball placement to his WRs as well, as he can place it beautifully and then misfire. Cannot carry an offense. Indecisive at times.

Projection

With the lack of talent coming out of the draft at the QB position it is looking like Sanchez will be over drafted. I see a very raw player who still needs a lot of work. He's got talent. I see 2nd Round talent, but may go in the first due to supply/demand at the position of QB. Has improved greatly as the year wore on.

He'll go in the top 5. BUST. Won't be able to handle the pressure (pass rush) of the NFL, and won't have as much relative talent around him.

A top 40 pick with an outside shot at late 1st round. Shouldn't play right away, needs a veteran QB ahead of him that can make way in a couple years.
