Date/Time: 04/23/2008 - 9:59AM CDT Predicted Round: Round 6 Well if Wes Welker can shine in the NFL with over 1,000 yards receiving from Tom Brady why can't his "Mini Me" do it in Danny Amendola? the likeness to Welker is scary. Both played in major high school programs in Texas and shined, both were overlooked by the bigger programs and ended up at Texas Tech, both are 170 plus pounds soaking wet, both are excellent punt returners. Amendola is a bit taller than Welker and I don't think there has ever been a player that moves his feet quicker than Welker and Amendola doesn't have that type of quickness but Amendola shined last year as a senior in a pro style pass happy offense with over 1,000 yards for the first time in his 4 year career. Smart, tough, Texas high school pedigree, what's not to like? Certainly not going to hurt your roster and well worth a 6th round pick for a team like the Colts, Patriots, Chargers or even the Jets who had a similar player named Wayne Chrebet a decade ago.
