OverviewAfter high school played 4 years of professional baseball. The following three years Almonzo spent at three different schools,Hinds C.C.,Garden City, and redshirted at Youngstown State University before landing at West Liberty State College. Almonzo then excelled two years with Hill Toppers.
StrengthsIs a big play waiting to happen. In his two years at West Liberty State College he accumalated more than 2,300 yards receiving and 26 total TD's. Has great hands and finds ways to always get open by great route running.
WeaknessesAlmonzo's biggest weakness is his speed. His 4.55 speed is slow for the average wide receiver in the NFL. Was not truly tested in D-II and has not seen a lock down corner every week like he will in the NFL. May have showed some of this with the low number of catches in the East Coast Bowl.
ProjectionAlmonzo Banks was a great D-II player. Benefited greatly from his sure hands, great route running, and hard work ethic. But will have to over come many great obstacles to play in the NFL, overcoming his speed and playing against elite competition. Undrafted free agent.
