OverviewHusain is the younger brother of former WSU Cougar and current Denver Bronco Hamza Abdullah. Husain finished tied with the most tackles(84) on his team, and first for most interceptions(4). He has improved each year he played in stats while starting 3 straight years.
StrengthsVery active player who is always around the ball. I saw him once personally against Cal, and he had a magnificent game with double digit tackles. Quick off the snap and reads very well. Solid tackler. Is a good blitzer and is very active along the line of scrimmage. Has good hands with 10 career interceptions. Faced great competition against the Pac-10 and fared very well.
WeaknessesVery wiry player. Really needs to add on some weight. A liability in coverage against tight ends. Will not often make many huge hits.
ProjectionUnderrated prospect who is kind of laying low right now. However, Washington State has a long history of sending many members of the secondary to the NFL. If Abdullah puts on some weight, he has the oppurtunity of being a solid #2 safety, maybe even starting in the NFL. Should be a solid late day two draft pick.
