Important LinksStatsOverviewRichard Dickson took over for an injured Keith Zinger as a true freshman and quickly emerged as a top TE in the SEC. He was named 2nd Team All-SEC and HM Freshman All-America after a successful close to the 2006 season. He continued the strong play in 2007 with 32 catches for 375 yards and 5 TDs, including a pair in the National Championship game.
StrengthsDickson is a real threat as a receiver, showing good hands and the speed to beat the LBs over the middle. Once he has the ball in his hands, he's able to create YAC by outrunning the LBs and overpowering the DBs.
WeaknessesDickson will have to continue to add bulk and improve as a blocker. He really doesn't have the frame to ever be a truly effective in-line blocker.
ProjectionLook for Dickson to continue to be an effective receiver for LSU, but move to an H-back position for the NFL, similar to Chris Cooley of the Redskins.
