Overview

Strengths

Powerful, physical athlete who can stand up at LB and play down at DE. Relentless attacker who hits hard and disrupts many plays. Runs well and holds the point versus the run. Good pass rusher with awesome first-step quickness. Huge, powerful hands which he can use to ragdoll blockers. Pursues to the whistle. Athletic and fast enough for coverage responsibilities. Improves from game to game. Tremendous upside.

Weaknesses

Very raw and doesn't always diagnose plays cleanly. Has trouble disengaging from blocks and must learn to use his strong hands to protect his body and shed. Moved to DE full time in '09 and had a hard time making the transition; seemed to think too much rather than play on instinct.

Projection

Borderline first/second round pick who offers tremendous versatility and a nasty on-field attitude. Not coming off a great season, but has superior skills and can rush the passer.
