Overview

Fine small school QB who did not look at all out of place at the 2nd Annual Texas v. The Nation Game or as a "camp arm" at the Combine. He wound up actually doing all the drills at the Combine, and was among the leaders in many of the drills, including 26 bench reps, which is the best mark this decade for a QB.

Strengths

Gunslinger. Gets out in the open and really flings it. Can run away from trouble and make plays on the run. Passes accurately either from the pocket or while moving. Nice set up. Good size. Very strong.

Weaknesses

Lacks big-game experience despite playing pretty well at the Post-season all-star game he was invited to. Has a hitch in his delivery. Used to being a very big fish in a very small pond. Raw. Can be erratic with his accuracy. Gambles.
