Overview2008 -- Davey O'Brien Award (best QB), Consensus All-American, Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Big 12
StrengthsBig, strong, athletic prospect who looks built for the NFL. Strong, accurate arm that can both stick an out pattern and throw with touch. Sees the field well and makes quick decisions. Moves well in the pocket to avoid the rush, and can run when needed. Very poised and at his best in critical situations and big games.
WeaknessesChose to return for his junior season in '09 though he was the top prospect for the '09 draft, and promptly injured his throwing shoulder in the first game. He returned several weeks later to play arch-rival Texas, only to re-injure the same shoulder and end his season. Not much experience overall.
ProjectionWill he or won't he? Both he and Gresham would have been first rounders last draft, but elected to return to chase national title hopes, and both essentially missed the season. Bradford could enter the draft, or he could choose to again return to school. A good kid who deserves to have a healthy shoulder, and if he does, should go no later than the mid-second round. ****Bradford has declared, and is rising up draftboards. He now looks again to be a top-ten pick.

He has a good arm and is very accurate. Those are two attributes that NFL teams drool over. User: NinerFan85 Date/Time: 01/4/2009 - 3:15AM CST Predicted Round: Round 1 I don't think returning to school helps him much because of the offense. I like Stafford at the NFL level more but Bradford can make it. A team is going to have to be patient though. User: Muchadoaboutnothing Date/Time: 12/31/2008 - 3:04PM CST Predicted Round: Round 2 Although i don't really believe he will go in the second round i'm in a state of rebellion. I'm not sold on Mr. Bradford. He, in my most humble, is a product of his high-powered, COLLEGE system. Sure he may have a solid arm and great numbers, but he plays in an offense that has the weapons to blow past the lions defense. He does not by any means carry his team. For goodness sake his back-up could put up very, very least forty points a game. I hate to go against the grain but i believe he is a glorified ''game manager.'' User: UnderagedPhenom Date/Time: 12/20/2008 - 11:48AM CST Predicted Round: Round 1 LEAVE NOW!!! That would be the best advice for Sam Bradford, well that is only if he has a solid game against florida in the national championship. Like many others, he claims to like where he goes and would like to be back to try to repeat as heisman trophy winner and maybe national championship. Leave school now and get top 5 pick and top 5 money instead of waiting and maybe losing value in the long run User: ramsdraft1029 Date/Time: 12/13/2008 - 8:53AM CST Predicted Round: Round 1 Hope the Rams decide to take Bradford if he declares. I think he has the best stuff in CFB Rate This Player |
