OverviewStrengthsBigger and much stronger than in '08, and displays much more stamina. Tall with a powerful build. Strong at the point and can defeat the double team. Extremely quick and agile. Tremendous balance, protects his legs and is very hard to knock off his feet. Explosive off of the ball and often leaves blockers grasping at air. Penetrates and disrupts. Can beat blockers with both power and quickness. Good speed and backside pursuit. Excellent pass rusher and is very good on stunts. Instincts continue to develop; reads screens very well. Lines up at both end and tackle. Smart and has earned his degree, which led to his decision to move on to the NFL. Tremendous upside.
WeaknessesPlays in the same conference as Mister Suh, or everyone would be talking about him. No visible weaknesses.
ProjectionDraft slot depends on whether a QB is chosen first. Will be taken one or two spots behind Mister Suh, meaning top five. Can play 4-3 DT and 3-4 DE, and should be a great one.

Date/Time: 01/4/2010 - 7:30PM CST Predicted Round: Round 1 I agree with Johans, if it weren't for Suh he would be the first d lineman taken. I still think he will be a top 5 pick and there is no way he drops out of the top 10. User: Johanns21 Date/Time: 12/23/2009 - 9:57AM CST Predicted Round: Round 1 Top flight defensive tackle that is most years would lead to being the first defensive tackle taken. Quick and agressive up the feild. Best fit is in a Cover 2 scheme. User: NinerFan85 Date/Time: 12/21/2009 - 7:12PM CST Predicted Round: Round 1 Not as versatile or as strong as Suh but I think he's a better pass rusher at the next level. Explosive off the snap and very quick. User: vicdemize Date/Time: 12/4/2009 - 2:16PM CST Predicted Round: Round 1 if it wasn't for Suh, McCoy would stand out as the premiere DT in this class. He reminds me of x-sooner current Chicago bear Tommy Harris. Very quick and disruptive in the middle but will stuggle to stand up to double teams without more strength in his legs. but really only the super big an strong 3-4 nose tackles can stack an NFL double team so it is really just nit-picking. McCoy will be a solid NFL DT for the next 10+ years, an a top 10 lock in the draft. Unlike Suh who can play 3-4 or 4-3 McCoy is a 4-3 tackle only.
