Overview2008 MAC Offensive Player of the year. 2008 First Team All MAC. One of the top QB's in the country over the past two years.
StrengthsDavis tore up the MAC with his rocket arm and his ability to run through or around people. He finished up at Ball State with a 17-5 record against MAC foes. He has a very strong arm and shows good touch on most of his throws. It is pretty well documented what kind of runner he is. In the Tim Tebow mold, he can run right through you with his strength and unusually strong legs. Not blazing fast, but does have very good speed and scrambling abilities for a quarterback. Very explosive player, and does an especially good job of not forcing balls to any particular receiver.
WeaknessesWhen he played anyone not from the MAC, including their bowl game against Tulsa, he was suddenly not nearly as patient and was forcing balls. Does not have great accuracy, and really was never tested above a great defense while in college. A lot of doubts surround him as to whether he really was that good.
ProjectionDavis put up very good numbers and produced in a conference that has sent many a good player to the NFL. With good workouts, he should be taken in the 3rd to 4th round.

Date/Time: 04/24/2009 - 9:06AM CDT Predicted Round: Round 5 I'm sorry, but he's not a pro QB. As talented as he is, he's just not a guy who can be the leader of an NFL franchise. No NFL GM is gonna put this guy in that position. He'll be a turnover machine. Strongest arm in the draft of top prospects imo.Should be a good pro. Reminds me of Dante Culpepper.
