Overview

2008 -- First Team All-Big 12. Senior Bowl invitee. Measurements - arm: 30.13" hand: 10.0" Notes: similar to Aaron Curry in stature, solid with a strong back.

Strengths

Fast, athletic player ideally suited to the weakside in a 4-3 defense. Very instinctive and makes many plays. Excellent range and ability to run sideline to sideline. Extremely disciplined and hard to fool. Good in man coverage. Slips blocks and is an excellent open field tackler. Big hitter.

Weaknesses

Not big and gets engulfed by blockers. Must be shielded and allowed to flow to the football at the next level. Doesn't make many game-changing plays, perhaps due to his discipline and a reluctance to gamble. Inconsistent; some games he's unblockable, others barely noticeable.

Projection

Good player who is smart and savvy enough to play early on in his NFL career. Likely a mid-second to high-third round pick.

In my eyes, he is the 2nd best linebacker in this draft after rolando mcclain. Should be a late 1st rounder, but could possibly drop to early 2nd
