Overview

Ramses is a 2004 graduate of Flintridge Prep in Altadena, Ca. As a senior he caught 41 passes for 915 yards and 14 touchdowns, leading the Rebels (12-1) to the CIF-Southern Section Division XIII title. Ramses earned All-Prep League, All-CIF-Southern Section and All-Area (Pasadena-Glendale) honors in addition to all-state honors in the small schools division. He also played free safety for the Rebels as well as basketball, volleyball, and track and field. He was a very fine basketball player who could have gone to school on a basketball scholarship. As a prep basketballer he averaged 17 points and eight rebounds a game and was named all-league three times and all-CIF twice. Ramses was also named Cal-Hi Sports small schools Athlete of the Year and was an Honor Roll member as a junior and senior.

At Cal Poly, Ramses redshirted his freshman year in 2004, but in 2005 he sent notice to the country what he was all about. As just a RS freshman, he caught a team-leading 40 passes for 655 yards and nine touchdowns en route to first-team All-Great West Football Conference honors. In 2006, he began his assault on the Cal Poly record books, compiling 42 passes for 824 yards and five touchdowns. 2007 was a year to remember, as Ramses put up 57-1467-18 and was named to everyone's post-season FCS 1st-team All-American lists.

Did not wow people at the East-West Shrine Game, but did reasonably well at the Combine, maintaining his overall 4th-round prognosis.

LATE NOTE: Ran 4.54 and 4.55 seconds at the San Jose State Pro Day with a 10'2" broad jump.

Strengths

Great size. Knows how to use his body to shield defenders away. Wins the jump ball. Toe touches. Fairly fluid in and out of his breaks for a man his size. Looks like a man among boys in the Great West conference. Sets up the double move. Extremely productive at this level of college play. Likeable and coachable. Mature, and has a very good attitude. No "Staritis." Finds the end zone and will barrel over DBs to get there. Knows where the chains are. Smart.

Weaknesses

Doesn't always give great effort when he's not getting the ball. Average blocker, and will never be a real asset blocking. Still has some refinement to do in terms of polishing routes. Good, but not great hands. Not a blazer. Deep threat at this level, but no guarantee he will be at the next. Built up speed.

Projection

4th rounder.

large target in the red zone to create a mismatch. maybe a reach in round 2 but if the game film shows he can get down field I say take him. remember is he just as fast with the equipment on as opposed to when it is off.

huge target, if he went to a bigger school he might be a 1st round pick.

This is only if he runs a 4.45 or better, otherwise he will go in round 3.
