At the Combine he ran 4.63/4.63 unofficially, did a 39.5" broad jump and 31 reps. LATE NOTE: At the Texas Pro Day, Brian produced a 10'10" broad jump, a 4.45 short shuttle and 7.26 in the three-cone drill. He kept the rest of his numbers from the Combine. StrengthsPotentially the best DE in the nation. Pass rusher frame with long arms, but heavily muscled and very strong. Smooth, agile and athletic. Good burst off the line, and can rush both outside with quickness and inside with power. Plays low, holds the point well versus the run and pursues hard until the whistle. Adept at shedding blocks, and makes many plays.
WeaknessesKnee injury derailed his momentum mid-season, but he made his return to form by the Combine. Not big for an NFL DE and not blindingly quick. A bit tightly wound and could be prone to muscle pulls or tears.
ProjectionOrakpo will be selected in the top ten. A likely difference maker.

Production comes in spurts and he's very top-heavy. Smart kid, keeps getting better Rate This Player |
