Overview

Strengths

Starter on arguably the best defensive line in the nation. Extremely intelligent player who is very tough to fool; honors assignments and snuffs out draws, screens and trick plays. Diagnoses plays quickly and seems to be flowing to the ball at the snap. Good quickness and technique. Active and in on a lot of plays. Strong for size and sheds well. Gets some pressure on opposing QBs. Good on stunts.

Weaknesses

DE in college will have to make the transition to LB due to size, and doesn't have experience standing up or dropping into coverage. Lacks burst and top-end speed.

Projection

Good collegiate player has his work cut out for him, but has the brain and work ethic to succeed. Special teams will be his ticket as he learns the nuances of playing LB. Mid-round pick.
