Overview

Strengths

TE frame with long arms, and appears bigger and stronger than in '08. Good athlete who moves well, gets off the line quickly, and is quick down the seam. Team Captain and is very smart; Academic All-American. Excellent position/seal type blocker. Locks on very well, gets to & blocks well on the second level, on the perimeter and in space. Good in pass protection.

Weaknesses

Not explosive as a blocker or as a receiver. Doesn't drive people off the ball. Possession guy who lacks the speed to make big plays. Probably a #3 TE.

Projection

Underrated but better than a number of TEs currently in the NFL. Steady Eddie should get chosen in the late rounds and will be a pleasant surprise for coaches and teammates. Should play early in his career and stick around a while.
