Overview2 year starter at OLB, who started as a S, and may transition back there. Very solid final campaign for the Ducks, totaling 82 tackles and 3 sacks as the SAM.
The highlight of the Oregon Pro Day (11/13/09) was Boyd who did a 7.10 3-cone, a 11.61 long shuttle, 34" vertical, 9'6" broad jump and a very impressive 23 bench reps. He ran 4.48 and 4.51 in his two heats at 219 pounds. StrengthsGood effort LB who is a solid tackler. Can transition to SS, and that's where CDS projects him as he can cover and already hits like a LB. Very good blitzer as a LB. Very good speed. Can meet even the big RBs in the hole and win.
WeaknessesUndersized OLB who isn't quick enough nor tremendously explosive. A bit of a projection to SS without a guaranteed NFL position. Has only really put up great stats for one season.
Projection6-7th round.
