Overview

Eric Berry is a junior safety who has declared for the 2010 draft. He has been the best college safety in the country over the last 2 and a bit years and has proven himself to be a natural leader.

Strengths

Hard hitting, but very rarely misses a tackle. Has great speed and excellent vision to read the play and get there. Natural leader of the defense. Has an extraordinary number of interceptions in college and is always a big-play threat with the ball in his hands.

Could play CB at the next level but I'd leave him at S and watch him become the next Ed Reed.

The top player in the draft. Should be the #1 selection in the first round. Has 4.3 speed. Covers like a shut down corner. Hits like a freight train. Is smart and plays at the highest level one could expect for a safety. Probably moves to FS in the pros. Will truly transform the defense of whichever team is smart enough to draft him. He's like Ronnie Lott--only faster and a harder hitter.

As a Chiefs fan Eric Berry is my Chritmas wish. Talented enough to be the #1 overall pick in this draft, an looks like an Ed Reed clone. He can be a hall of fame saftey or a pro bowl corner. He can return kicks an could probablly play WR if asked to. 3 Qb's will have to be taken in the top 5 for this guy not to be a top 5 pick. Suh is the only defensive player who will be drafted infront of him an that is based on the value chart that DL are more valuable than DB's. If Berry slips past Detroit I will be shocked. But then that means my Chiefs have a shot and at this point it's all I can hope for.

This guy is great. He is always where the ball is. Has great speed for a safety. When you hear his name one word comes to mind "PLAYMAKER". He might be the # 1 PICK overall
