Overview

2009: In a very solid close to his Orageburg career Hamlin had 35 solo tackles, 17 assists, 1 TFL, three interceptions, 3 PBUs and recovered a fumble, he is a force against the run and improving in coverage.
2007 Season Second team All-MEAC.
2006 Season: Hamlin started nine of the 10 games he played in as a redshirt freshman and broke into the lineup in the second game of the season and started every game after He finished among the leaders in tackles on the team with 41 total, 22 of them unassisted also Hamlin recorded one tackle for loss, two interceptions, two pass breakups and a forced fumble, he was named the team's MVP for defensive backs.

2005 Season- Redshirted.

High School
Earned letters in four sports- football, basketball, baseball and track and field, he helped Lamar High School to three state 1-A championships and was a participant in the North-South All-Star game; garnering All-State honors twice in football and in basketball as a senior.

His brother Michael was a 2009 NFL Draft prospect at Clemson, so his bloodlines intrigue some scouts. Though not prototypically big-hitter sized he is an intimidating force in center field. He has played several positions including CB and both safety spots.

Strengths

Very athletic and unafraid of hard contact, Hamlin is still in the process of unlocking his talent. He is willing to fill the alley against the run and is beginning to use his range to make plays in th passing game.

Weaknesses

Still very raw in coverage and does get nosy opening the opportunities for big plays down field, he can overrun plays by being too aggressive.

Projection

PUDFA who could be drafted based on athletic ability and potential.
