Overview2008-Toddrick Pendland, was selected All-SLC 1st Team, was been selected AP FCS All-American Second Team. During the past season the junior from Newton, TX, exploded as a running back, netting a school record 1,431 yards for an average of 130.1 per game. He ranked No. 6 in the nation, also he led the Cowboys in scoring with 90 points and in all-purpose running with a 174.1 yard average and was named the SLC's Offensive Player of the Year.
2007: He was third on the team in rushing with 377 yards and averaged 5.2 yards a carry, he scored five TDs, with the team’s longest run from scrimmage including a 63 yarder for a touchdown against Northwestern State, also caught a pass for 58 yards and a score against SE Louisiana including a KR for 94 yards and a score vs SFA the school'ds 3rd longest also was second on team in all-purpose running with average of 68.5 yards per game and second in kickoff returns with 22.7 average on 10 returns. 2006: ran for 270 yards on 39 carries for a team high 6.9 average per carry also had the longest run on the team, a 73 yard scamper for a score against SE Louisiana and went 85 yards on three carries vs SE LA. High School: All-state, all-district, was the district MVP and Beaumont Enterprise Super Gold player of year. He ran for 1,180 yards as senior, 2,300 as junior and 890 as a sophomre he was also on the basketball and track squads. StrengthsAmazingly quick and a better inside runner than his size suggests, has drown comparisons to Darren Sproles and LaRod Stephens-Howling.
WeaknessesVery small and a developing receiver but not yet polished. Not a factor as a blocker
ProjectionHe is likely to make a team as a KR/PR 1st and find a way to get on the field as a change of pace back.
