Overview

Richard put in a solid career as a blocking tight end for the Tarheels, and capped off a fine senior year by showing well at the NFL Combine in February.

Strengths

Bigger and stronger than most TEs available this year. A true in-line blocker with better hands than you would think. Was not used that much in the passing game, and thus did not get a chance to really show what he can do in that area. Solid worker. No real downside.

Weaknesses

Not an exemplary physical specimen or athlete. Solid in all phases, but a killer in no particular area of tight end play. May have already maxed out his potential. Average speed and hands.

Projection

Solid 6th round-type.
