Overview

5th year senior who had 2 years of starting experience for the Buckeyes. Had his home destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and moved to a Columbus apartment, before eventually returning home.

Strengths

Just a big body that you can plug in to stuff the run. Strong and physical and does a really nice job of not getting attached to the offensive linemen. Two years of starting experience on a top flight program. Can play end, but it clearly much better suited lining up on the interior.

Weaknesses

While he did improve a lot over the past 2 seasons, he never really established himself and as a go to guy along the line. Could definitely be silenced with a good oline, and really doesn't provide much pressure or penetration.

Projection

Abdullah will make a solid depth kind of defensive tackle. While he was never a star in college, he was able to get starting time on a very talented Ohio State team. He is a solid pick in the 6th to 7th rounds.
