Overview2009 Knicky was very disruptive and was the Southland's . He fought his way through an injury-plagued senior season to finish second in the nation in sacks, and finished among the nation's leaders in tackles for a loss. A preseason All-America selection, Knicky finished the season with 41 tackles, including 15 for losses, and 12.5 sacks.
StrengthsHe possesses good height for the position and has some natural pass rush ability and is a pure effort player who goes all out. There is room on his fram for growth.
WeaknessesHe is too light to hold the point of attack vs. the run at DE or possibly even as a 3-4 OLB. He is a speed rusher but has limited pass rush moves, power and reach to pressure the QB at the next level. He comes off the ball with some suddenness but lacks the strength to disengage from OT's. For a player that often rotates every other series but doesn't create constant disruption, there are serious questions as to projections for the NFL.
ProjectionLikely he's an UDFA who will need eye-opening workouts to crack the tail end of the draft.
