OverviewTim is a 2006 graduate of Wall High School in Wall, NJ where he was named a first team All-Federal Division and All-Shore selection; and was also named first team all-county and second team All-Group 3. Tim was also chosen as one of the top 100 players in New Jersey.
As a true freshman in 2006, Tim tallied 20 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two pass break-ups and a forced fumble. In 2007, Tim was named second team All-CAA; played in all 11 games and had 40 tackles, a team-best 12 tackles for loss, a team-high seven sacks, a team-best tying three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one pass break-up. In 2008, as a true junior he earned second team All-CAA honors; played in all 13 games and had 39 total tackles, a team-high tying 15 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one blocked kick and one pass break-up. Tim made his senior year his best (as did the whole team,) tallying 37/26 with 18.5 TFLs in 15 games, along with 9.5 sacks, 1 interception, 1 QBH and 3 FFs. StrengthsYoung with plenty of upside left. Played on the 2009 national champion Wildcats squad. Has been a leader on that solid defense for two years. Quick in space for a DE. Gives consistent, relentless effort. Tough guy who will play hurt. Will wear down the OT opposite him as a game wears on, and plays even better late in the game than earlier.
WeaknessesA LB-DE tweener for the next level, who has not been tested as a LB. Struggles versus size and strength. Gets rocked back by a good punch. Can be folded up when he gets off balance. Will struggle setting the edge at the next level if left as a DE. Needs to get bigger, stronger, and improve his get off. Could use another move as well.
ProjectionPriority UDFA.
