OverviewA 2006 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in Philadelphia, Michael was a 3-year letterman and an sAll-Catholic League selection on the offensive and defensive line. He was also an All-City defensive pick and wone the Mini-Maxwell Award. He was also listed an All-Montgomery County honoree. Was also the team's long snapper. Earned two letters in baseball as pitcher and third baseman and played one year of basketball. He earned a distinguished letter from National Honor Society.
Starter since 2007 at center for the Leopards of Lafayette, and has some upside because of his limited time at the position. StrengthsTough guy who seems to be improving game to game. Stones Patriot League bull rushers. Uses hands pretty well and can steer people. Has a wide base, and seems to have enough athleticism to hold his own in small areas just about at any level. Naturally strong and could quite possibly be a guy who will get much stronger and surprise in a pro weight room. The kind of guy the Pats would bring in and make an all-pro out of. Inconsistent trying to lock on, but when he does, he wins. Smart. Can long snap. Young, with some upside.
WeaknessesIf you're looking for a day one starter, this isn't it. Still needs lots of weight room and technique work. Could be a flop or a very pleasant surprise. A smart team may draft him, but your safest move is to not risk anything and get him as a UDFA.
Projection6th-priority UDFA.
